Brain-Powered SALE
...the Brain Powered Sale!
Save up to 60% on some fantastic toys
Here are just a few samples!
Toddlers love activities that use their busy hands and busy minds. Our colorful carry-all playbox invites exploration in pattern recognition, sorting by shape and color, memory and understanding of cause-and-effect relationships. 10" x 6" x 9" (25cm x 15cm x 23cm). Appropriate from 18 months - Preschool
This has been one of my favorite infant toys! My youngest got this for his birthday when he turned 1. We would spend a lot of time with him sitting on my lap playing with this toy and talking about the different shapes and colors. I would clap and cheer when he pulled out a shape or put one in. Now (at age 3) he finds the box and excitedly asks me to play with him. When he puts one in or pulls one out now he says "Say yeah, Mom!" It is so cute!
t’s the first step in the “write” direction. Writing begins long before children can actually draw letters. Pre-writing practice develops the hand-eye coordination and fine motor control that leads to confidence. Practice and repeat drawing games and activities featuring animals and shapes on the reusable and highly durable, plastic wipe-off boards. Includes 16 activity boards, 4 color crayons in holders, eraser and expanded Parent Guide. 8½" x 1½" x 5" (22cm x 2cm x 13cm) box. From 3 years – Kindergarten
Also on sale now-I Can Write which is similar. Cards have all the letters of the Alphabet.
All three of my children (3, 5, and 6) love to play with this. They love to use their imaginations and come up with all sorts of funny vehicles.

It's All In The Rhythm!
Wow! My kids love this product! This is new to Discovery Toys from Do Re Me and You. It comes with a CD, a DVD, and a bunch of little cards shaped like hands with different rhymes. There are 12 rhymes on the CD. They are put to music. The DVD has 6 of the rhymes that are on the CD. The DVD shows kids doing the hand claps that go with the rhymes. The kids do it fast once, then a bit slower and then with the music. Each one of the rhymes uses different hand clapping. So, your child learns the 6 hand clap rhymes on the DVD and then they have the confidence to make up their own hand claps to go with the other 6 songs on the CD.
My 1st grade daughter loves the DVD. So far we have learned Miss Mary Mack together and she wants to do it all the time. She and her 5 year old brother sing it in the car constantly. They love the repetition and the funny words (July can't walk. July can's talk. July can't eat with a knife and fork. And of course, the elephants jumping off the fence.)
This has been a fun thing to do together. It teaches my kids rhythm and it brings back such memories for me.

Zingo! Fun for the Whole Family!
ZINGO!
In this lively twist to classic Bingo, cover every square and you’ve got “ZINGO!”. As children race to match the tiles to the game board, they’ll build picture and word recognition skills, important basics for learning to read. Saying the name of the object out loud builds vocabulary skills too. Older children can flip the board over for a more competitive game variation. 8 game boards 5½” x 7” (14cm x 18cm) each, dispenser 6” x 5” x 3½ (15cm x 13cm x 9cm). Expanded Parent Guide included. From 4 years - Elementary School
Price $16.99
Just the other afternoon my boys (2 and 4) decided to get out the Zingo and play a bit. They got their dad to play with them. So the three got everything set up and ready to play. They all took turns sliding the tile holder to show the new tiles. This is a very important part of the game to my boys. My 2 year old was so fast my husband couldn't believe it. He won the game. They played a couple more times. It was a good father-son bonding time.
So, the reason I tell this story is to let you know that the age range of 4 and up is just a guideline. Many younger children love to play this. It is great for the whole family because it is challenging for everyone, gets everyone involved and can be very exciting. It is a game that even Mom and Dad enjoy playing. This is a great game for family game night. With Zingo, family members of all ages can playing together. If you do not have Zingo and are interested in adding it to your family game library please visit my website www.playeveryday.net.

What I will do to keep my kids entertained?!
Just the other day I was trying to do this crazy thing. I wanted to write an email to encourage my team memebers who were doing awsome with their business this month. Of course, my 2 year old is awake. Why can't he sleep in instead of the 4 year old who can be completely mesmorized by Dora the Explorer for 20 minutes? Enough dreaming of a perfect world. Okay, my 2 year old is up and of course sitting on my lap while I am trying to type. If his fingers are not trying to pound on the keys then his toes are. The night before my husband played this video called "Crazy Frog" that he found on the internet for my kids. It is this crazy, but quite catchy, combination of beeps and bing, bings from an annoying frog and Axel F. Well, in desperation I played it for my son. He loved it! He was glued to the screen and not my keys. I had stumbled on to something great. When It ended I quickly played it again. After the third time I had to find something different. I scoured Google video for other free videos for kids. I came across the "Elephant Song" and a vegetable song by Eric Herman and of course the "Hamster Dance". Wow!! Now I have four different things to keep him entertained. I , of course have to listen multiple times also but who cares!! I can type in peace. Woohoo!! 15 minutes of this craziness and I am done. Mission Accomplished for the morning. Oh no! My 4 year old just woke up and saw the end of the last one. One more time for him and then we can run away from this computer for a while. Ahh, the sweet smell of success!
